Water sculpture

Artist Rainer Gross from New York calls his work “Deutz Twins.” On the side facing Ottoplatz it is a ten-metre-tall, narrow stele of finely polished concrete. The side facing the KölnTriangle features one of the artist’s classic motifs, namely “twin” images. The horizontal half serves as the floor of the water basin, while the standing vertical twin appears behind a wall of running water. Thus the two twins are connected by a “varnish” of water.
